      <description>The average person in Qatar used 78 times as much electricity as the average person in Ethiopia in 2025: 18.0 MWh/person against 0.23 MWh/person. Wind and solar together supplied 17.3% of the world&apos;s electricity in 2025, up from 4.5% in 2015. Since 2015, Bulgaria has cut the carbon intensity of its electricity by 44%, from 494 gCO2/kWh to 275 gCO2/kWh in 2025. In 2020, solar overtook gas in China: 261 TWh against 253 TWh. Croatia imported 27% of the electricity it used in 2025: 5.32 TWh of 20.0 TWh. Kazakhstan emitted 813 gCO2/kWh from generating electricity in 2025, 1.8 times the world average of 459 gCO2/kWh. Denmark generated 22.1% of its electricity from bioenergy in 2025, the second highest share of any country generating at least 10 TWh.</description>
