Since 2015, Bulgaria has cut the carbon intensity of its electricity by 44%, from 494 gCO2/kWh to 275 gCO2/kWh in 2025.
Both figures are Ember annual statistics. The fall comes from the change in what Bulgaria burns and generates, not from generating less.
