Data Coverage

Data coverage is the share of world electricity demand actually behind a figure, stated explicitly whenever a page combines many countries that do not all report at the same time. World Power Monitor's monthly review, for example, only publishes a month once enough countries with a year earlier comparison together account for a stated minimum share of world demand, and it states that share on the page rather than calling the total a world figure.
